ARTEMIS IOANNOU

Head of Maritime and Ocean Data

MY EXPERTISE

Fluid mechanics, ocean observing systems, renewable energy systems, energy conversion, oceanic circulation, climate change and oceans

SHORT BIO

I hold a Phd in Physical Oceanography, a MSc in Ocean, Atmosphere, Climate and Spatial Observations and a Dipl-Ing in Mechanical Engineering. Over the last few years my research focused on the dynamics of tri-dimensional global oceanic eddies from satellite observations, in-situ observations and numerical modelling with a specific focus on air-sea interactions. Currently in AMPHITRITE, I am applying my oceanic expertise to contribute in the maritime sector, implementing sustainable strategies that promote innovation in the maritime industry.
